A chief operations officer (COO) is responsible for the daily operations of a business or organisation. A COO establishes processes to make a company more productive, providing essential methods to carry out. They create budgets, oversee operational programs, deal with logistics and supervises employees, particularly those in the operations department (ensuring people develop and grow in their roles and participate in the development of the operational procedures of the company).
