As a graphic designer you could specialise in any of a number of professional and artistic disciplines which focus on visual presentation and communication. You could work in a range of visual media, including painting, drawing, digital media, photography, or a combination of all these. As a creative director you could oversee the work of copywriters, artists, photographers, graphic designers and other members of a creative team for various publications, websites, advertising agencies, or other forms of media.
Creative industry employees are often responsible for developing representations of ideas and messages, often for advertisements, magazines, product packaging, websites or public display. They may also be involved with preparing layouts of designs, liaising with clients and preparing materials for print and production. If you are interested in a creative career, professional experience in advertising, copywriting, design or marketing may substitute for tertiary qualifications.
