Our client is an established leader in the construction industry and a Tier one firm who are known for their high quality practices. They are now seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to work on a landmark prestigious and exciting mixed-use new build project.

Experience on mixed-use new build jobs $250m+ would be desirable as well as having a strong commercial base knowledge ideally working in a Tier 1 or 2 professional environment.

You will be responsible for the management and administration of contracts throughout the project life cycle. In addition, you will ensure that the high quality and profitability of the projects are maintained while financial and contractual risks are minimised.

Role will be overseeing 2 CAs and will be a hands on role encompassing procurement, payments, subcontract variations and cost reporting to name a few.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing all facets of the subcontract process
  • Negotiate and review subcontract tenders including preparation of tender comparison for review
  • Prepare, check and review subcontract packages, scopes, lettings and procurement schedules
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure they are adhering to environmental commitments and responsibilities
  • Preparation of accurate payment schedules
  • Understand and manage subcontractor contractual risk
  • Process progress claims, delay claims and external variations according to contractual obligations
  • Preparation of project budgets for review and provide accurate rolling final account forecasts
  • Assist in the preparation and administration of project completion and inspection test plans

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or similar
  • Minimum 7 - 15 years' experience within the construction industry - a tier 1, 2 or 3 background would be ideal
  • Construction Safety Induction (White) card
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Coins Software is preferable
  • Strong financial analysis and administrative focus
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
