The College offers 6 programs. Students can complete an Intensive Program or a Standard Foundation Program, which allows them to articulate into the first year of an undergraduate degree in the following disciplines: Arts, Business, Commerce, Engineering, IT and Sciences.
Alternatively, students can complete one of four Diploma programs, Commerce, Engineering, IT or Arts Media and Communications. Successful completion of a Diploma program enables students to enter the second year of selected undergraduate degree programs.
MUIC will have a number of upcoming employment opportunities in 2020 for casual teaching staff. The College accepts expressions of interest for teaching on all units in all Terms. You may consult the Handbook for general information on which units are offered in any given Term. Please note that not all units are offered in all terms and scheduled offerings may change depending on student enrolment.
Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified, experienced teachers to deliver lessons in the disciplines listed above. Appointed staff will be expected to teach, update learning and teaching materials when needed, undertake student consultation, monitor student progress and attendance, prepare and mark assessments, supervise in-class assessments, manage and submit results, participate in staff and moderation meetings, and work collaboratively with administrative and other teaching staff.

THE DELIVERY MODEL
MUIC offers an intensive delivery model over 6 teaching terms per year. Each term is 7 weeks long and consists of 6 teaching weeks plus a week when examinations are held. Students undertake two units in a term.
Casual teaching staff must be available for the full duration of a teaching term. Lessons are scheduled between 8.30am and 8.30pm Monday to Friday. For all 2020 term dates, see the MUIC section on the Important Dates page.

In the Foundation and Intensive programs, opportunities will be available for teaching in the following subject areas: Academic English, Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Computing/ICT, Economics, History, Mathematics, Media, and Research Skills.
MUIC Diploma units are equivalent to first-year undergraduate units offered by the Departments of Accounting and Corporate Governance, Economics, Engineering, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics and Astronomy, Media, Communication and Cultural Studies, Linguistics,. Staff with previous teaching experience in ACCG /ARTS/MMCC /ACST /BBA /ECON /ENGG / MAS/MATH/MKTG/PHYS//STAT units (particularly at 1000 Level) are encouraged to apply.
