Taking pride in providing a good working culture to it's employees there is a requirement for a fully qualified and experienced Environmental Health Officer to add value and join the team.
Your new role
As one of Council's Environmental Health Officers, you will be responsible for the Council's environmental health and undertaking a range of service at registered premises including inspections, registrations and compliance activities. As well as conducting inspections at all food premises, your role will also entail ensuring that nuisance complaints are investigated and resolved in a timely manner and the assessing wastewater management systems and permits.
What you'll need to succeed
With experience working as an Environmental Health Officer in either Local or State Government, you will possess tertiary qualifications in Health Science or equivalent. You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of environmental health legislation and regulations including Food Act and Public Health and wellbeing Act. The ability to communicate and liaise with local businesses and community groups in a professional manner is also an integral part of this role.
