Accountable to the Senior Manager of Occupational Therapy, you will provide assessment and treatment services for inpatients and outpatients of NALHN, which aims to optimise health outcomes. You will apply clinical experience, clinical knowledge and professional competence to plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive and integrated services to the needs of clients. Working under direct clinical supervision, you may provide direction and support to allied health assistants and students. Within a fantastic environment of collaboration and support, you will work cohesively with the Allied Health multidisciplinary team and liaise directly with medical, nursing staff of NALHN and with other community agencies.
Essential to success in this role is an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. With demonstrated competency in the clinical management and treatment of a broad range of conditions, you will possess proven skills and sound knowledge in Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment techniques. A confident communicator, you will bring the ability to communicate effectively and work seamlessly within inter-disciplinary teams. For appointment at the AHP2 level, you must have experience in successfully managing a caseload, reflecting excellent time management skills and ability to work independently when required.
