The Role

We are seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team at Sun Patrol Skin Cancer Centre Berwick & Officer. This is a casual role for approximately 2-3 days a week and will include sick and annual leave coverage. Centre hours are Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 6.00pm & some Saturdays.

In this role you will be:

  • Meeting and greeting patients
  • Scheduling appointments and pro-actively coordinating the appointment book
  • Either opening or closing the practice
  • Accurately entering patient data in
  • Processing payments
  • Managing phone and email queries
  • Assisting in tidying up consult rooms
  • Providing general administration duties as required
  • Participating in staff meetings and training

National Skin Cancer Centres offer:

You are:

In addition, you have:

  • demonstrated receptionist experience within the medical industry
  • good computer skills including medical practice software (Best Practice experience is highly desired though not essential)
  • a working knowledge of medical billing procedures and the ability to process Medicare and other payments
  • solid time management and organisational skills
  • mature and sensitive approach when dealing with the patients

  • rigorous sanitation procedures
  • high-risk or unwell patients will not be seen
  • waiting rooms set up to ensure social distancing
  • patients are encouraged to wait in their car before appointments
