As our business continues to grow, we are in need of additional business analysts to drive success with our customers. This position will be a 6 month contract to start, with the potential of moving to full-time. They will be able to communicate effectively, facilitate sessions with stakeholders, produce reports for clients, and up-skill internal and external technical teams.

What work will I be undertaking?

Within the first 6 months this role will be focused on one primary project, where our team will be developing a technology solution to better manage financial transactions for one of our key customers. This will not be the only project you will be working on – we like to give our team variety, and the number of interesting projects we manage in parallel means that you will also be collaborating with other team members on a cross-section of machine learning and software development projects.

What is this person expected to accomplish within their first 90 days?

The right candidate will have experience in multiple business analyst roles and will be required to assist with tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Consulting with a cross-section of user groups to capture and refine business processes
  • Documenting findings and making recommendations on process workflows
  • Working with technical teams to ensure any technical solutions meet the client's requirements
  • Using a variety of methodologies, principles and techniques to develop functions and strategic test plans
  • Documenting meetings and generating appropriate actions
  • Providing solutions to complex problems within engagements and overseeing the delivery of project milestones

What experience, education and skills should this person have?

The right candidate will possess:

  • Experience mapping and documenting financial process (highly desirable)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Agile/BA Certification preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving ability and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work both independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in organising and facilitating requirement gathering workshops with clients
  • Previous experience working with Jira and flow chart software such as LucidChart
  • Previous experience documenting both ‘As-Is’ and ‘To-Be’ processes and user flows
  • Previous experience working on web/mobile applications (Machine Learning is a plus, not essential)
  • Previous experience working as the sole or lead BA on client-facing projects
  • Ability to analyse complex information and document this in a way that is easily understandable and digestible
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Business Analyst within the IT sector
  • A can-do attitude and the willingness to develop within the organisation as it grows
