Combined with local expertise in Adelaide, Torrens Connect is Australia€™s largest bus operation and the only operator which has successfully expanded internationally to Singapore and London.
From July, Torrens Connect will operate and maintain Adelaide€™s North-South tram and bus network and will carry out operations and maintenance on the Adelaide trams networks.
About the role
We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates interested to apply for opportunities as Tram Operators to join the team within a brand-new Operations based in Glengowrie.
The Tram Operator is responsible for delivering day-to-day effective and efficient public transport services including the provision of tram driving; and assisting ticketing and fare management, while ensuring a professional, safe, timely, reliable and customer friendly transport service to the general public.
You will be a proactive and engaging Operator with a genuine concern for safety. You will also have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, concise and accurate advice to people at all levels in a professional manner
You will also have;
€¢ A current unrestricted Driver€™s Licence €“ Essential
€¢ Sound knowledge of Australian Road rules
€¢ Previous experience dealing with customers and staff and the ability to demonstrate conflict resolution techniques
€¢ Availability to undertake shift work in accordance with a seven (7) day roster including morning, night, weekend and public holiday shifts
