About the role:

Reporting to the senior management. You will be required to perform appropriate electrical upkeep and wiring to ensure the plant is running at optimum level. You will be required to work a 42 hour week including on call and overtime if required.

The responsibilities of the role will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Effective planning and daily business operations, process control implementation and training
  • Health and Safety implementation and training
  • Plant development, quality procedures and general maintenance of equipment
  • Learn plant instruments and process control mechanisms and maintain them
  • Able to adjust to change and respond accordingly
  • Continuously looking to improve productivity and reach high levels of operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures, providing resources and training
  • Writing reports and keeping good maintenance records
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including processing maintenance and management
  • Wiring and setting up electrical equipment
  • Experienced and/or willing to train for work with class 3 equipment, in-line with Australian electrical standards

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have proven capabilities and strengths in the following competencies:

  • ELECTRICAL QUALIFICATIONS, Be a registered electrician with full trade qualifications
  • Experience in industrial wiring and process control and working with class 3 flammable installations is preferable
  • Have experience of instrumentation or be willing to obtain training
  • Australian Citizen or Resident preferred
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
  • Knowledge of business, finance and management principles
  • Knowledgeable in process control and PLC operations or able to learn
  • Leadership experience
  • Knowledge of machines and tools
  • Solid communication and computer skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Planning and organizing
  • Co-ordination and control
  • Time management
  • Attention to detail
  • Decision-making
  • Industrial electrician
