Construction Projects Administrator

To be considered for the role you will need to present the below described personal and professional characteristics:

Key personal characteristics

A minimum 3 years experience in tiling and stone masonry projects of up to 1 million, or similar trade involved in commercial fitout and new buildings

Possesses full license (or right to drive in Australia), resides in the Sydney metropolitan area and has availability to travel up to 100km for work duties

Australian citizen or permanent resident visa holder

Be presentable, punctual, committed, fluent in english and have good communication, mediation and problem solving skills

Professional requirements

To be considered for this role you must have had previous experience (3 years minimum as stated previously) executing the below functions:

Developing, reviewing and negotiating contracts, programs, projects and services

Attending construction sites trade coordination meetings

Attending tender interviews to discuss projects and logistics regarding specific project characteristics

Developing, reviewing and negotiating variations to contracts, programs, projects and services

Assisting clarifying and responding inquiries and resolving problems regarding contracts, programs, projects, services provided (works methodologies, materials delivery schedules, imported materials lead times,

Managing paperwork associated with contracts, programs, projects and services provided (please refer to below)

o pre-start documents, declaration of works and products used and impacts on the environment

o ensure compliance to building codes and regulations

o composing handover manuals and guides,

o statutory declarations of salary and insurances,

o submitting invoices for services provided and materials supplied

Working with Project Managers, Architects, Engineering Professionals, owners and others to ensure that goals are met in pre-established construction program and handed over on the requested date

Advising senior management on matters requiring attention and implementing their decisions

Overseeing work by contractors and reporting variations to work orders to contracting party and to senior management for approval before execution

Preparing and reviewing documents and reports concerning the organization’s activities (evolution in contracts, projected works and profit for the following time frame [month, quarter, trimester, fiscal year])

Collecting and analyzing data associated with projects undertaken, and reporting on project outcomes during the course of project and after completion

Composing project & loss projection for projects before starting and updating as project evolves

Additional requirements

Heavy lifting will be often necessary as we are always available to assist our site crew in completing construction site works

Posses a NSW white card and have experience navigating construction sites

Be fit (role involves heaving lifting) and confident in driving two axle trucks of 2.5T GVM (car licence)

Be available for out of hours and weekend works (often specific site requirements)

Office location is in Rockdale 2216 but the position requires attending construction sites throughout the Sydney metropolitan area.

The base work week is 38 hours but candidates must be available for additional hours required to complete its weekly duties.
