The Opportunity:

We are looking for a sales driven Account Manager to join our team, this role will have the opportunity to grow and maintain the South Coast NSW region. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will maintain existing customer sales and actively develop new business in your designated territory through solution selling. We are looking for someone who possesses strong sales and negotiation skills and has experience with territory management and strategic planning. You will have the ability to build strong working relationships with existing and potential customers to grow Komatsu’s market share.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain engagement with existing customers and actively seek new business opportunities
  • Capture all profitable sales within designated territory to achieve or exceed Komatsu’s target market share
  • Maintain Komatsu’s CRM with opportunities and quotations on a regular basis
  • Ensure all machine deliveries are conducted in a professional and timely manner
  • Analysis and timely reporting on sales trends, competitive actions, internal intelligence and competitor actions
  • Liaise with Sales Manager in order to give the forecasting required to manage sales activities
  • Build, foster and retain good working relations with all key decision-makers internally and externally to the business
  • Maintain Product Knowledge through regular Komatsu product training
  • Be actively involved in the preparation and attendance at industry field days

The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re looking for:

  • Experience working in Construction & Utility Equipment Industry or a similar industry is required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales focused position
  • Current driver's licence is required
  • Ability to demonstrate product knowledge including mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and maintain a proactive call plan
  • Customer centric with well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Suite Applications
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills.
