TURSA is seeking to employ persons who meet our selection criteria, to provide services and support to eligible clients to achieve employment outcomes under the Australian Government's Disability Employment Services programme. TURSA is currently a very successful and highly-ranked provider of jobactive services to businesses and unemployed persons in the eastern seaboard region from Forster on the Mid-North Coast of NSW to Noosaville on the QLD Sunshine Coast. Due to an expansion of business we will now be providing Disability Employment Services across 58 sites.
The successful applicant will have excellent people skills i.e. the ability, disposition and commitment to engage positively and empathetically with clients to work with and support them to move into employment or self-employment. The position is one of contributing your skills, knowledge, and energy into the client-worker relationship as a partner with the client in seeking opportunities for gainful employment, and to engage and negotiate with employers as required on behalf of your client.
Experience in Disability Employment Services is desirable along with exceptional marketing and customer service skills. Staff will need to be flexible and have the ability to adapt to change as the industry is subject to frequent change and development. There is a strong marketing focus to this role, requiring face to face engagement with local employers.
Disability Employment Advocates will be required to undertake the Certificate IV in Employment Services training course on-the-job unless they already hold that qualification. Certificate IV in Employment Services is a nationally accredited and recognised qualification in the industry and will be delivered at no cost to the employee.
