Vacant Shift Manager role at our large ‘sate of the art’ laundry facility in Dandenong South.

The Role - Shift Manager

Shift Manager is responsible for driving the successful operation of an entire shift within production and ensuring they work harmoniously with other shift managers to meet the overall objectives of the business.

They will provide leadership to their team while engaging them to meet all areas of safety, productivity, quality and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be offered an attractive salary, join an energetic production team and supervise an engaged and accomplished shift.

Position reports directly to the Production Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development of a safe team environment
  • Works in co-ordination with all members of the business, providing assistance, resources and support as required.
  • Inspires team spirit among staff of Ensign to achieve customer satisfaction for all clients.
  • Meets with the management team on a regular basis to discuss relevant issues, update on active projects, quality improvements and performance KPI’s.
  • Responsible to co-ordinate the activities of the Production Department to ensure the following:
    • Orders are packed to meet quality requirements
    • Quality standards are maintained to ensure compliance
    • Plant performance is managed though KPI monitoring and Labour management
    • Supports the Ensign Quality Assurance Program

Experience & Skills

    • Experience in effective supervisory skills (min 5 years) of 40+ employees / team leaders
    • Able to demonstrate qualities of leadership, thus ensuring the confidence and respect of all staff.
    • Understands the workings of a well organised the Production Department and its key drivers
    • Strong people management skills
    • Understanding of the 5S and the importance of continuous improvement.
    • Proficient in written English and Microsoft Office

All staff are required to undergo a Police Check and pass a full medical assessment.
