My client is looking for a Communications Specialist to take up a 3 month contract, based near Adelaide CBD and close to public transport.

Client Details

This Government department plays a vital role within the community.


As the Communications Specialist you will provide support to the division manager in creative ideas and concepts, proof reading long documents and reviewing annual reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and interpreting their briefs
  • Developing creative ideas and concepts; presenting ideas to colleagues and clients
  • Familiarising yourself with the products and services, the target audience
  • Writing clear and sometimes in plain English
  • Updating digital media
  • Proofreading copy to check spelling and grammar
  • Working on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines


Communications Specialist looking to apply for this role must be able to demonstrate the following when submitting their CV:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a public relations, communications and media environment
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships
  • Superior writing and editing skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
