Anaesthetic PHO Temporary Full-Time 12 month contact - asap start
Ideal for a doctor wanting to get onto a formal Anaesthetics training program to work in an unaccredited position for 12 months.
This is a 70 bed public hospital that offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic and clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology and high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging , pathology and paediatrics.
The hospital has approximately 282 full time equivalent staff delivering services across acute community and primary care.
32 mix mixed General Surgical and Medical Wards and has a four bed HDU. The hospital is currently expanding the current HDU to Level 1 ICU capacity to accommodate the anticipated COVID-19 challenges and cater for patients pending retrieval for higher level of care and close observation

The Opportunity To assist the Clinical Director, Staff Specialists and Senior Medical Staff to ensure that Critical Care and Anaesthesia services provided are of the highest standard and delivered in a safe, cost-effective and patient focused manner.
The Principal House Officer provides high quality clinical services with a commitment to patient safety and continuous service improvement. The position is required to provide medical services in those areas under the direct and/or indirect supervision of the senior medical staff involved and assists in the professional development and support of medical students.
