About The Role

Role Location: Parramatta: 4/20 Smith Street and Newcastle Business Centre
Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time

As the Director, Emerging Corporate, you will be responsible for leading a team of Relationship Managers and Relationship Assistant Managers. Through your coaching and mentoring your responsibility will be to foster a team that is customer focused, strategically minded and high performing. This role is an an integral member of the Emerging Corporate leadership team in driving the overall B&PB growth strategy.

The successful applicant will: actively contribute to the strategic planning process of Specialist Distribution; lead the Relationship team in origination and delivering on strategy growth; establish strong and effective relationships with Relationship Credit teams, Risk, Product Partners and cross-divisional stakeholders (including Institutional); provide intellectual leadership in all client related matters as a senior CAD holder; keep abreast of all key industry information and ensure timely dissemination across teams; drive compliance management of the portfolio, appropriate disciplines and consequence management; initiate and lead projects that will drive efficiencies and/or robustness in sales and onboarding processes; build a high performing team of skilled industry professionals capable of meeting the business and the market in a timely and efficient manner; be a key reference point and accepted expert in the industry both within and external to ANZ.

This role will involve intrastate travel to business centres with occasional interstate travel.

€¢ Grow market share through achieving targeted portfolio growth
€¢ Lead and drive a strong collaborative culture between Relationship Teams, Relationship Credit, and Risk in client strategies, credit workshops, and client negotiations in order to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
€¢ Lead and guide the relationship team in origination processes, client strategies, transaction structuring and pricing that is on strategy.
€¢ Effectively apply people management practices to attract, retain, develop and motivate staff for optimum performance and staff engagement.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

€¢ Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Commercial, Business, Accounting, Economics or relevant Industry degree
€¢ Proven people leader
€¢ Exhibit strong interpersonal skills that can be used in influencing and negotiations with Credit Executives and customers, and ability to deal directly with ANZ Senior Executives.
€¢ Proven experience in a senior relationship role, with thorough knowledge of credit and risk management practices and clear ability for sound judgemental decision capability and ability to hold senior CAD.
€¢ Strategic minded with strong analytical skills and ability to work with broad, ambiguous and/or complex issues.
€¢ Strong networks within industry
