The Practice:

An AMP Advice practice in Newcastle is looking for a Client Services Officer to join their team. The practice provides holistic financial planning advice, mortgage solutions and accounting services. Due to growth in the business we need a professional Client Services officer to join the AMP Team.

The team are looking for an experienced Client Services Officer / Administrator with industry experience, the right candidate will be an integral member of the Financial Planning team.

Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of Financial Planning Industry is essential. The Client Services officer is responsible for setting up new clients, maintaining existing clients and managing the end to end administrations of client portfolios.

  • Interpreting Statements of Advice and preparing necessary applications for Advice presentation.
  • Implementation of client paperwork for advice strategies and pro-actively managing until completed (Superannuation, SMSFs, and Insurance).
  • Regular engagement with external providers to ensure timely processing of client applications.
  • Support team peers by reviewing work prior to lodgement to ensure errors are minimised.
  • Ensure all works in progress and all written or verbal correspondence with clients is diligently recorded in the COIN database.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through regular email and phone correspondence.

About you:
This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and is highly client service focused. The suitable candidate will have the below qualities.

  • Take ownership of tasks and follow through to completion.
  • Demonstrating initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail, with a confident client friendly attitude.
  • Be pro-active to identify discrepancies with client data and taking ownership to correct.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills necessary.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience supporting financial planners.
  • Desirable but not essential Diploma of Financial Services (RG146)
  • Experience with financial planning software essential, COIN / Xplan ideal.
  • Exposure to AMP products (North/MyNorth, insurance platforms).
  • The candidate must have provided support to advisers previously and understand the advice process
