We offer an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory & Technical Support Assistant, Veterinary Anatomy ($60,614 - $64,390) to join our world-leading institution at James Cook University (JCU). A part time, continuing appointment, this position is based at our state-of-the-art veterinary facilities at the Townsville campus.
What can you accomplish in the Role Reporting to the Manager, Facilities and Technical Support, and liaising with academic staff, you will support the fundamental components of the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the Veterinary Science programs through maintaining the associated facilities, wet spaces and equipment to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
What will you bring to the Role As someone with previous experience working in a Laboratory, you will have the ability to handle and work with animal specimens, tissues and fluids in a safe manner. With a track record of success working both independently and as a team member you will demonstrate excellent organisation, multitasking and prioritisation skills.
