As we work towards reopening, we are now seeking motivated and dynamic professionals to join our team.
Our Sports & Leisure Attendants assist our guests with non-motorised water sports and land based activities, focussing on creating experiences and memories that will enhance their on island journey.
InterContinental Hayman Island Resort will offer guests an array of activities. Whether it’s a romantic experience for two, a family adventure, team building journey or solo exploration, the all-new suite of experiences are as iconic as they are unforgettable; and adding a knowledgeable and worldly team who can bring the InterContinental Life alive throughout these activities is the last puzzle piece for the Resort’s delivery of rich and personal experiences.
Your day to day will involve;
Ideally, you will have 1-2 years of previous experience in a guest activities role or similar within a luxury setting and be passionate about creating unique experiences. With a preference to work outdoors alongside marine life and the natural environment your preference, your exposure to wider hotel and resort operations will be advantageous. With strong communication skills and the ability to think outside the box, you’re also physically fit and able to lift equipment and items as needed facilitate day to day activities.
You will have the ability to relocate and live on Hayman Island, Whitsundays from August 2020 onwards and be comfortable with the gross hourly rate of $20.92 in line with the Off-Shore Island Resorts Certified Agreement 2006. This role is also eligible for subsidised living costs. Turning activities into unforgettable experiences will be your passion and exposure to working in other hotel or resort operational roles will be highly regarded.
You will need to hold you current first aid certificate, including oxygen and have the appropriate work rights to work within Australia alongside an open Australian driver’s license and be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required.
