anzuk have partnerships with a diversity of special education
settings within the Casey Cardinia & Mornington peninsula region, coordinating their casual teacher replacements as required, both on the day and in advance.
We are currently recruiting primary, secondary,
and special education
qualified or experienced educators who have a growth mindset & commitment to students' individual learning and well-being for casual relief teaching opportunities in special education schools
in the following regions: Dromana, Mornington, Frankston, Cranbourne, Officer
In this role, you will provide support teaching and learning for students enrolled in special schools, special development schools (SDS), specialist schools, and autism specific schools. Your role is to work collaboratively as a team member sharing in implementation of programs and support of students' learning, well-being and physical care. Your role will vary day-to-day to reflect the diverse needs of the learners you are supporting. There are a wide range of qualifications, experiences and skills that lend themselves to being successful in special education settings so anyone with a genuine interest in working in special education schools is encouraged to apply. Previous experience in an SEN setting is not mandatory.
About the Schools
Special needs schools are diverse in nature and provide educational programs to students aged pre-school to 18 years of age with a range of specific needs including intellectual & physical disabilities, health impairments & medical needs, autism spectrum disorders, hearing impairments, visual impairments, language & communication disorders, and social, emotional & behavioural needs.
These schools have a strong focus on personalised and individual learning for each student and and promote a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. Programs are delivered within Department of Training guidelines and reflect the Victorian Curriculum with an emphasis placed on the development of programs that address individual student needs, through Individual Learning Plans.
- Registration with Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- Current CV outlining recent experience in school settings
Two mentor teacher (for graduates) or principal level references (for experienced teachers)
