Apply for this job

We are lucky to be in a position to offer several opportunities to join our team. We're happy to share that we remain COVID-19 free and are continuing to take the necessary precautions such as hand and workstation sanitizing, providing gloves and masks, conducting mandatory temperature checks and establishing physical distance between our workstations to prioritize the health and safety of all our staff.

Founded in Vancouver in 2000, Clearly's mission is to eradicate poor vision in the world - the largest unaddressed disability - by 2050. Clearly serves this mission and its community by providing people with the most accessible and affordable optical products. Clearly was the first Canadian retailer to offer eyewear online and is now a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of glasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses.

We are now seeking a mission-driven individual to help lead our Outbound Fulfillment team in Australia!

What does a typical workday look like?

As our Team Leader for our Outbound Fulfillment team in our Warehouse, you’ll be in charge of ensuring all outbound shipments are out the door within the service promise of the company, forecasting how much work is coming in and ensuring enough people are on the floor to get the job done.

You’ll coach our team of Fulfillment Specialists and Warehouse Assistants, work with our Trainers to ensure they are following day-to-day procedures and recognize individual and team accomplishments. You’ll also be responsible for setting team goals, weekly labour planning and assisting with selecting and developing employees.

You’ll be the main point of contact for the team, handling any employee requests or concerns and you’ll communicate with other departments to remind them of any orders that are close to target deadline. We’ll also need your expertise in fulfillment and inventory to come up with innovative ways to challenge the status quo and improve our processes!

The successful candidate would normally be working between the hours of 8 AM to 6 PM (Mon-Fri) for a total of 38 hours/week. However, given the current COVID-19 pandemic, the current working hours are 12 hour shifts, 3.5 days on and 3.5 days off per week, for the foreseeable future.

Your main KPIs?

  1. Shipped
  2. Inbound Inventory
  3. Accuracy

Why we want you?

  • Because you are someone motivated to make an impact on the quality of life for millions of people
  • Because you know what you are talking about: you have 1+ years of experience in Fulfillment or other related experience in the e-commerce industry
  • Because you have intermediate computer skills (including Excel)
  • Because you can effectively handle and manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Because you have strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and lead team members by example
  • Because you are organized, have strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize
  • Because you have strong analytical skills with high critical thinking ability
  • Because you know how to manage resources and ensure that established service levels are achieved
  • Because you are an effective communicator and have the ability to work with many different people across departments
  • Because you have a positive and professional attitude, with a great sense of humor

What’s in it for you?

  • You will be a part of a team that is making a difference - improving lives by improving sight
  • Clearly will help you save for your future through our Employee Shareholding plan
  • Receive paid time during work hours to volunteer and be recognized for your volunteer hours during non-work hours
  • Opportunities for learning and career development through an annual education allotment
