About the Team To provide business enabling people and corporate services functions, to drive a high-performance culture and to support integrated operations. About the Opportunity The Manager Internal Audit leads and manages internal audit projects at the Department, including financial, operational, compliance and performance audits. The role works collaboratively with internal audit service providers to deliver internal audit projects and activities. The Manager Internal Audit will lead internal audit improvement initiatives and will contribute extensively to strategic and annual internal audit planning. The role is key to promoting the Department's Independent Audit Branch as a function that creates value-adding insights. About You
* Extensive experience working within an internal audit function and applying the relevant portions of the International Professional Practices Framework (issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors), and industry-accepted/better practice controls frameworks to internal audit assignments. * Extensive experience in leading and managing end-to-end internal audit projects (financial, operational, compliance and performance audits) or other related tasks, within budget, timeline and to exceptional quality. * Well-developed understanding of risk management principles, and their relationship with and application to internal audit. * Demonstrated experience in people management across the employment life cycle. * Strong stakeholder and relationship engagement and management with demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence and negotiate to achieve outstanding outcomes for the Department.
