Fliteboard is a rapidly growing, privately owned Australian enterprise whose innovative electric foiling water craft have won international design awards and developed a market leading presence with ‘efoil’ customers in Australia and overseas. Headquartered in Byron Bay, the business is led by a visionary founder/CEO and a highly experienced Board and is committed to staying at the forefront of a niche and rapidly growing segment of the high-end consumer lifestyle market. As part of its growth-focussed investment strategy a position for a commercially astute finance professional has recently been created.
This broadly mandated role reports to an experienced CFO and will support and influence a broad range of stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations up to General Manager level. In addition to supporting Fliteboard’s day-to-day financial administration and month-end reporting requirements, you will also be expected to use your strong financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting skills to prepare, analyse and present insightful financial commentary on trends in profitability, ‘cost-of-doing-business’, inventory management, pricing and operations performance. Using your aptitude for business planning systems and your financial modelling skills, you will also monitor and review the success of marketing and product development initiatives and contribute to longer range business planning and strategy outcomes. As an outgoing and collaborative individual you will also be expected to engage with all Fliteboard stakeholders, both locally and overseas, to add clarity, accountability and insight to business performance improvement initiatives.
This is a rare opportunity for a commercially astute and self motivated finance professional to join an award winning enterprise whilst working in the highly enviable surroundings of Byron Bay. You are likely to be a proactive, adaptable and collaborative CA/CPA who is seeking a stimulating, supportive and broadly exposed role where you can apply your broad technical accounting, financial analysis and financial modelling skills whilst developing your business acumen in a stimulating, evolving and entrepreneurial environment. You probably already have experience in a similar product based sales & distribution environment and therefore experience in FMCG/Retail/Inventory/Supply Chain would be preferable. You should demonstrate prior experience in analysing, reporting and influencing business performance outcomes and possess a flair for building strong collaborative working relationships across diverse groups of stakeholders.
