Manager, Risk Transformation Supporting the Controls and Governance Team
How will I help?
As the manager, Risk Transformation, you will lead risk management transformation activities (e.g. new risk taxonomy, control assessment uplift) and define a sustainable risk management approaches for Consumer Division that enables consistency, accuracy and adherence to Westpac Group standards. You will actively track and report on the progress of the overall Risk transformation program to senior stakeholders and engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure delivery is seamless and coordinated. In this role, you will monitor the progress of risk management transformation activity completion within Consumer and provide status updates to the Central team as well as identify, develop, and implement opportunities to improve risk management across Consumer Division.

You will also need to be proactively working with other members of the team to identify industry trends and best practice in risk management and providing regular feedback and coaching to more junior staff. Additionally, the role will cover ad hoc tasks as they arise such as running escalation forums and workshops, maintaining training registers and preparing communications packs.

What do I need?
You will need to have experience in risk management gained within financial /professional services or solid exposure to managing projects in a similar role, ideally within line 1 Risk. You have high level of detail to work with demonstrated written communication skills to senior stakeholders. Your exceptional collaboration skills to work with multiple stakeholders to achieve outcomes and proven track record of translating the complex into the simple, will see you succeed in the role.
