About the role
The Mackay Intensive Family Support program covers Mackay, Whitsunday Coast and Isaac areas. In this role you will report into the Service Manager and be leading a team of case workers and embedded specialist practitioners. The IFS team works to help keep vulnerable families together. Through your leadership and our services, your team will be helping families to identify and prioritise their needs.
You will be providing direct, in-home support services to families, including the provision of afterhours and 'on-call' services on a rotational basis, undertaking risk and needs assessments and providing advice and facilitating referrals. Working through your team, you ensure a range of assessments, short term practical interventions and therapeutic approaches are utilised for families with multiple and complex needs.
You are passionate about the welfare of children and achieving the absolute best outcomes for them.
Responsive and adaptive to the needs of children and young people, you lead with heart. You are a charismatic leader who inspires their team members and mentors them to overcome hurdles and achieve shared goals.
Ideally, you will have had experience in developing case plans collaboratively with families and key stakeholders involved with the family.
With a comprehensive knowledge of legislative and service requirements you promote the culture of compliance necessary in this industry.
