Application Developer

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000

Your role involves but is not limited to:

• Working with the company’s efficiency team to identify process improvement opportunities and implementing automation initiatives wherever possible.
• Liaising between business partners and offshore vendor teams to ensure the delivery of business requirements and preparing development plans.
• Assisting with the technical development of streamlined processes following agile software development methodologies.
• Designing prototypes and demo interfaces for company website & contract management modules.
• Developing and maintaining MySQL database and front-end applications for company’s sales and royalty systems.
• Developing and troubleshooting automated solutions for data import and quarterly finance statements using macros and VBA scripting.
• Performing end to end application testing to ensure alignment of applications with business requirements.
• Standardizing sales and royalty data to manage data integrity and completeness in back end systems.
• Support data reconciliation processes essential for the operation of company’s music royalty systems.
• Exploring daily and weekly sales data to develop interactive visualizations and dashboards in Power BI for weekly meetings and associated music labels.

Skills Required:

• 1-2 years of experience working in digital music distribution industry.
• 3+ years of experience working in software development, testing and business analysis projects.
• Masters Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical units of the business.
• Deep working knowledge of Agile & Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience working with applications and tools such as Power BI, Google suite, Microsoft, MySQL, Taiga, FTP, cPanel & Reckon Hosted.
• Exceptional technical design and documentation skills.
• Flexible working out of office hours including weekends.
