Senior Financial Accountant - Government - Wollongong - Full-time/ 9 Month Temp Assignment

Your new company
Our client is a large government body located right here in Wollongong. Due to internal growth, they are looking to add an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to their team until at least October 2021.

Your new role
This opportunity will see you undertake a variety of accounting responsibilities with a strong technical focus. Leading from the front, you will direct the Financial reporting and policy team through multiple month ends and year end. You will ensure financial reporting processes are completed on time, and in accordance with relevant legislation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be tertiary qualified with at least 5 years’ experience in a financial accountant position within a large organisation. Experience with local government or state government accounting will be beneficial. Any experience with Tech1 will be held in high regard.

What you'll get in return
A fantastic hourly rate well above local averages is on offer. Whilst this role is expected to last until October, there is a possibility for extension, or additional contracts for the right candidate.
