Exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Typist to join a specialist practice in Hobart

Hays Office Support are proud to be partnering with one of Hobarts largest specialist Medical clinics in the recruitment of a full time permanent Medical Typist. This business pride themselves on providing the highest possible standard of medical care to their patients.

Your new role
Based in the Hobart CBD, as a Medical Typist you'll be working as part of the administration team. You'll will be providing a high level of support to the practice, you'll be required to complete duties such as

  • Type documents as required with a high level of accuracy in a timely manner as dictated by doctors
  • Save typed letters into patient file
  • Send letters to addressee via fax, post or Healthlink
  • Maintain accurate records of letters typed
  • Forward accurate messages to doctors and / or other staff members
  • Other administrative tasks as required

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you'll have demonstrated experience in a Medical Typist role, ideally within a specialist environment. Along with your strong previous work history you'll also have:
  • Typing speed of minimum of 70 WPM with 98% accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure, balancing competing demands and interruptions. This will need to be demonstrated with previous experience
  • Strong knowledge across software packages including Microsoft Office Suite and ideally experience with Medical Software such as Genie and Eclipse
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication
  • The ability to work autonomously and have a proactive nature.
