Description
John Street Community Early Childhood Co-operative is seeking a confident, enthusiastic and inspired Early Childhood Educator to join our dynamic and supportive team. We are a 53 place, not for profit, community centre with a focus on social and emotional learning delivered through a play based emergent curriculum. We are looking for a Diploma Qualified Educator who has the ability to work across all age groups. The successful applicant will have:
- Experience working within the childhood sector
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- Current police check, recognised Level 2 First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate
- Working With Children Check
- Comprehensive understanding of the National Quality Framework and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
- Ability to facilitate a holistic approach to the cycle of planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A value for community culture
- Experience working in a not-for-profit community centre desired but not essential
