An event coordinator is also known as an event specialist. They are a person who is involved in the organisation of events and the logistics around an event from start to finish and the clean-up. Types of events they may organise include, conferences, festivals, ceremonies, parties and concerts and could be as little as ten people to hundreds of people.
They also can be required to work weekends and long weekends depending on when the event will take place.
An event coordinator needs to strive to meet the client's needs and make sure they are within their budget while selecting a date that does not clash with other events in their industry, selecting the perfect venue, and making sure all the nuts and bolts of the event are organised and ordered to make sure nothing goes wrong on the day.
