A telesales executive requires a friendly manner, an ability to talk to anyone and a lot of patience. If you ticked all three, then you may have a great career as a telesales executive ahead of you. Telesales executives work indoors, usually sitting down for long periods of time. They work at desks, often using hands-free telephone headsets while logging information on computers.
Telesales executives spend a most of their working day talking to customers over the phone. They need to be very familiar with the products and services that their organisation sells or deals with as they have to discuss this information with their customers and be able to answer questions. They also need to be familiar with word processing and spreadsheet computer programs and data entry.
Telesales executives are employed on a full-time, part-time or casual basis, and may be required to do shift, evening and weekend work. There is usually informal training on the job. They usually work in large organisations surrounded by many other employees.
